For Reference Only — Not for Safety-Critical Use

  • This data is for information only and must NOT be used to make any safety-critical decision.
  • Only use this app when in a position of safety.
  • Always verify all data against your Safe System of Work (SSOW) pack.

The ELR Track Locator interpolates positional data from your device's GPS and generalised track centreline data. By using this application you acknowledge and agree that:

Safety first. Always follow standard railway safety protocols and confirm your location by approved methods before commencing any work.

Accuracy is not guaranteed. The mileage, chainage, ELR and offset values are approximate and subject to GPS / device hardware limitations, signal interference, and data tolerances.

Not a replacement for approved systems. This tool provides supplementary situational awareness only. It must never be used as a substitute for official Network Rail documentation, approved measurement systems, or physical track markers (e.g. mileposts, Sectional Appendix).

No liability. The Developer accepts no liability for any error, omission, injury, loss or damage arising from any action taken on the basis of information displayed in this application.

Pro subscription

Pro costs £20 a year and starts with a 14-day free trial. It's bought through Google Play or the Apple App Store and renews automatically each year unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel it at any time in your store account, and if you cancel during the trial you aren't charged.

On iPhone, use of the app is also covered by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement. On Android, purchases are also covered by Google Play's terms.
