Support
This app is built and maintained by one person to solve a problem I kept running into on the railway. If something is wrong, missing, or could work better, please get in touch — your message comes straight to me, and I read every one.
Reports of incorrect mileage or ELR data are especially welcome. Please include a screenshot and your approximate location, along with what you expected to see, so it can be looked into.
Common questions
Do I need an account?
No. There's no sign-up and no login. Download the app and it works.
Does it work without a signal?
Yes for the readings. The railway data is built into the app, so your ELR and mileage are worked out on the phone. The map background is the only part that needs a connection to load.
How accurate is it?
The track data is accurate to about 1.5 metres. On top of that is your phone's GPS accuracy, which the app shows on screen (for example ±3m). It's for information only: always check against the physical mileposts and your SSOW pack.
Why does Track ID say N/A?
Where tracks run side by side they're only a few metres apart, closer than a phone's GPS can reliably separate. Rather than guess, the app shows N/A until you're clearly to one side or on a single line. Explore Mode always shows the Track ID, because the cursor position is exact.
How up to date is the track data?
Track data last updated: 30 September 2026 (Network Rail Track Model v3.2). Updates arrive as app updates, and they're listed in the changelog.
The mileage looks wrong. What should I do?
Please email a screenshot, your approximate location and what you expected to see. Reports like this are how the data gets better.
How do I cancel Pro?
Subscriptions are managed by the store you bought from. On Android, open Google Play, tap your profile picture, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions. On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. If you cancel during the free trial you aren't charged.
I've changed phone. How do I get Pro back?
Sign in to the same Google or Apple account on the new phone, open the app, go to Upgrade and tap Restore purchases.
Does it show access points?
No. For safe access points, use Network Rail's own Access Points app.
